Today, we introduce the Champions of the Ring Gladiator Championship Belt!

This belt is similar to the Hardcore Belt the WWE had years ago in that you have to defend it against challengers on a constant basis. Anyone is open to challenge the current title holder, and the title holder must compete to defend the title over any other kind of dark match. The rules are as follows...

1. The champion MUST defend their belt against any challengers on a regular basis. Avoiding title defenses will get the belt stripped from you, and you will be barred from competing for the belt in the future.

2. When challenged for the belt, the challenger(s) will determine the match stipulations. The current champion will have no say in the match rules. If the challengers cannot unanimously agree on the match stipulations, then the GM will decide.

3. You must include as many people in each match as possible.

Gladiator Championship matches DO NOT award EXP or RP. Instead, at the end of every week (12 AM EST on Sunday), whomever holds the belt will be awarded 3 EXP and 1 CP. They will also be granted one free championship match of their choice from any Division they are currently competing in. The Gladiator Champion must PM the GM (me) to make their choice. Only after the match is approved and appears on the match card can the match take place.

In the first ever match for the Gladiators Belt Swift, Chris, and Johhny went at it in an epic ladders match where Johhny snuck away with the victory.

I've added a 4th rule to keep things interesting.

"They will also be granted one free championship match of their choice from any Division they are currently competing in."

Maybe a streak or something. Hold it at the end of consecutive Sundays? Otherwise Sunday will be a mad dash for the belt. I mean you win one match on a Sunday then you're getting a title shot based off of possibly luck? Seems to make the chase for the titles cheapen if I can camp out Sundays and hope for the best.

Its going to keep things exciting.. Thats why its called the gladiator belt.. constantly defended.. the belt shouldnt mean the world to you.. unless u can hold it for a while.. Its not a prestigious belt like the HW or the cruserweight but it allows everyone to get a chance at a belt and make people feel like they have a reason to play after being destroyed by me in the HW division.. Personally I love the concept..

Yeah its a fun belt but you missed the point.

If I go 0-22, then get on Saturday and win the belt, I shouldn't get a title shot at the other belts.

It makes the Heavyweight and World titles seem less if I can lose all my matches then win Saturday night for a shot.

Swift and JD were in an Iron Man match. Each guy gave it his all but in the end Swfit punted my router and won lol.

GM about the last day being Saturday.... if I hold the belt on Friday everyone knows I don't show up much on Saturday so what then?

If you're not available, you're not available. You don't HAVE to be on Saturday. In your case though, you're usually on after 7 PM EST so that gives some time for people to steal it away from you =P
